Remedial And Sports Massage the skilled application of soft tissue therapy is extremely effective for the release of muscle tension and the restoration of balance to the musculo-skeletal system. Received regularly this can help with injury prevention that might otherwise lead to overuse injuries which are the result of an accumulation of micro-trauma or tension in the muscles from regular activity.
Most people are unaware of muscle damage until they are serious enough to cause discomfort or impede performance, eventually resulting in altered posture and leading to biomechanical and functional problems. Identification of soft tissue anomalies are a key task for the therapist who, using a combination of techniques, aims to help the individual maintain or return to a much higher state of physical health.
